The Discovery Coast Greenways Land Trust is a non-profit organization that works to enhance Campbell River’s recreational and ecological treasures, for people and wildlife. The organization is active in estuary restoration, invasive plant species removal, public outreach and education, greenways promotion and enhancement, and supporting the work of dedicated stewards of our streams. Greenways relies on members for decision-making and support, and on financial contributions for the means to carry out programs.
Greenways welcomes everyone as a member and we support volunteers of all ages and skill sets. If you care about Campbell River’s trails, green spaces, salmon, and responsible development, consider joining us as a volunteer, member, or corporate donor.

Greenways Loop Project Campbell River is a city of ocean vistas, forested groves, and streamside shade. The Greenways Loop is a 25-kilometre network of paths and trails that will circumnavigate the City of Campbell River. The Loop serves as an attractive recreational feature to residents and visitors of all ages.
It provides opportunities for walkers, hikers, runners, cyclists, in-line skaters, wheelchair users, and horseback riders to take in many of Campbell River’s ecological and cultural features, while enjoying fresh air and natural beauty in a safe alternative transportation network.
The Loop includes the waterfront Rotary Seawalk and the Beaver Lodge Forest Lands, and connects the Jubilee Parkway to the Campbell River Estuary. Within the Loop are Watershed Walks, where people can observe the beauty of our salmon-bearing streams. The Loop connects amenities and housing developments, tourist attractions and active living. It improves Campbell River’s green way of life.
